Real Estate Company Expands in Midtown South

A real state company signed a sublease for 9,000 SF on the 10th floor of 19 Union Square West, after outgrowing its 5,000 SF space at 155 Avenue of the Americas. The new space is a sublease from a popular internet radio provider, for which the company will pay rent in the mid-$60s PSF through May 2018. Last year, the radio provider signed a lease for 52,841 SF at SL Green's 125 Park Avenue.



30 Rockefeller Plaza

Firm Leases 3rd Floor at 30 Rock

An international law firm signed a lease for 38,193 SF, the entire 24th floor, at 30 Rockefeller Plaza, for which the firm will pay starting rent in the high-$70s PSF. The floor will be the third floor the firm occupies in the building, after leasing the entire 25th and 26th floor in 2010, for rent starting in the mid-$60s. The rent for the law firm is in line with other leases in the building, including a similar 104,161 SF law firm renewal in the second half of 2013.

142 West 57th Street

Affordable Sublease on West 57th Street

Late last year, a global design and consulting firm subleased the entire 8th floor at 142 West 57th Street, over 15,000 SF, from a banking and consulting company. The sublease rent is in the high-$30s PSF, while the banking and consulting company is currently paying rent in the high-$70s PSF for the 7th and 8th floors. Similarly, another banking corporation expanded on the 16th floor of the same building for rent around $70 PSF.
