The iconic Chicago Board of Trade Building is one of Chicago’s most famous icons, and has hosted many prominent tenants since 1929. While the Board of Trade no longer exists, its successor, The CME Group, chose to keep the historic building name. CME sold the building in 2012 to GlenStar Properties and USAA Real Estate, and leased back 150,000 SQFT. The building was at 61% occupancy when purchased in 2012, and the new landlord worked to bring up occupancy to around 75% by 2015.
