Strong Start to 2014 at Comerica Bank Tower
60-story Comerica Bank Tower (1717 Main Street) was bought last year after lenders foreclosed on part of its debt. The tower has started 2014 off strong by signing two renewals and one new lease recently.
The heftiest of the three leases is a 52,300 SF renewal by a national tax advisory firm to the building for an additional 11 years. A financial consulting firm also inked a renewal for 7,300 SF, along with a biotechnology company, which signed a new lease for 3,995 SF in the building. The two renewals will be paying rent in the low-$20s PSF for the respective spaces, while the latter will be spending in the mid-$20s PSF.
