When we designed CompStak, we wanted to offer the most superior user interface and technology available, so we focused on the best browsers out there, mainly Chrome and Firefox. While CompStak is fully functional on Safari and Internet Explorer 9 and 10, it will not display properly on IE 7 or IE 8.

If you tried to access CompStak on an older browser, you probably received the "old browser" message from us asking you to switch to Google Chrome. We stand behind that recommendation 100%, and will urge you to do so. If you don't have Chrome installed, you can get it here (for mac), here (for XP, Windows 7, Vista), and here (for Windows 8).

My browser isn't old! Why am I receiving the "old browser" message?

Most likely, you're running IE 9 or IE 10 in Compatibility View. This means that you set your newer browser to run like IE 7. Here's is how to turn compatibility mode off:

Go to the Tools menu, and see if there's a checkmark next to compatibility view. If so, uncheck compatibility view, and refresh the page. More information can be found here.
